The piano books

Today I finished the Level 1 book of “Piano adventures” by Nancy and Randall Faber and started the 2nd book. Janet also helped me pick up two pieces from “Duet Recital” Volume C by Denes Agay. We will practice and get ready for the performance in the end of the semester.

Janet has been a great teacher. She is very patient and encouraging. She also reminds me of the little details I overlooked. To have class with Janet and practicing piano have  become something I look forward to every week!

Janet and I had our first meeting for teaching me piano. We looked into the options for the piano books and decided to start with the kid piano books Janet used when she was young. We marched through quite a few pages of Level 1 theory. I learned to play two short songs: firefly and Ferris wheels. We even played duet together. I am very excited and happy about our first lesson.
